Recently, Halal concept has gained a great interest worldwide. This is due to the fact that the demand for halal food consumption is increasing annually, resulted from the rising of Muslim population globally. Nowadays, the halal market has obtained a great demand not only by Islamic countries, but also by non-Islamic countries. This is because the value of halalan toyyiban concept ensures that the Halal food products are authentically halal, safe to consume, clean and have good quality.

There are many researchers developing porcine (from pork) detection kits around the world. However, we are proud that the establishment of the International Halal Authority Board (IHAB) has confirmed the position of Malaysia as a global halal leader through the recognition of the halal certification bodies abroad.

Thus, Global Haltech Sdn Bhd takes this opportunity to introduce the first series of Porcine Detection Kits developed in Malaysia, which is known as HALKIT. These HALKIT has been used by Halal Testing Laboratories, involving DNA Analysis, Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) Analysis, and Lateral Flow Immunoassay Analysis. Halvec Laboratories Sdn Bhd, one of the halal testing laboratories that has been appointed as JAKIM’s Panel Laboratory also used these HALKIT in their routine analyses.

HALKIT has many advantages as compared to other porcine detection kits available throughout the world. They are not only lower cost as compared to others, but they are also: (1) Have been validated by ISO 17025 accredited lab, (2) Fast and Accurate, (3) User Friendly, (4) Sensitive to various types of sample scopes, and most importantly (5) Technical consultation is provided.
